Michelin’s commercial presence in Japan centers around the dynamic high-performance tire markets for passenger cars, trucks, and aircraft. We operate one of Michelin’s three global R&D hubs in Ota City, integrating research, development, and an innovation focus on sustainable mobility.
Beyond our tire and mobility businesses, Japan was the first destination in Asia to launch The MICHELIN Guide in 2008, celebrating the global significance of Japan’s exceptional food and dining culture.

Michelin’s Japan headquarters is located in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture. We offer diverse roles across marketing and business functions, supply chain and research. From here, we conduct global Research and Development for passenger car tires.
